I was inspired to call this the Black Diamond because I just read that the largest diamond ever discovered in the world was not  a clear, sparkling brilliant but was a 3,072 carat murky black diamond.   It no longer exists - it was broken up to make drilling equipment.  Now, black diamonds are considered valuable - and are also something of a scientific mystery.   So it's a sort of metaphor for the rejected... the one that had a rare beauty, not like the typical flock... actually a king or queen, just not visible to the majority...


Anyway this will be a site where I get to ramble about whatever I'm in the mood for.  More soon...
